concentration and detachment

life insulated from the buzzling surroundings, at least for a period only can fetch you a result you are looking for . this has been my feeling since long though i am not able to lead an insular life. i do not mean here that one should become too selfish. but i try to relate this with concentration and detachment. that is concentrating on something is detachment from something else. to pick an example from nature ;see the life cycle of butterfly. the colourful stage of butterfly is of course preceded by that of a cocoon. the stage of cocoon is not that of mere dormancy but the state of activity in dormancy, that is only to attain the stage of colourfulness. here the whole energy is being utilized or say concentrated for the colourful life ahead.
